While Birmingham residents continue to struggle with the reduced bin services as part of the Unite strikes that started on February 26, those living on the border have shown concern over the possible issues that may spill over into their streets.
Residents on the Sandwell/Birmingham border have expressed worry at the possibility of waste items being left on their streets as the result of overflowing bins from nearby Birmingham residencies.

Portland Road/Shireland Road in Smethwick is one of those streets on the border that has a dividing line for bin collections, with one half of the street serviced by Sandwell Council binmen, and the other by striking Birmingham Council binmen.
Mr Jag Singh, 51, of Portland Road, said he is concerned that Birmingham waste will end up on his Sandwell street.
