Man charged after police drugs raid in West Bromwich

A man was arrested and charged with drug offences after police officers in Sandwell executed a warrant.

Craig Simmonds was arrested at a house on Kesteven Road in West Bromwich on Friday morning (February 28) by officers acting on community intelligence.

The 35-year-old was charged with possession of class B drugs and is due to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court in March.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A man has been charged after we executed a drugs warrant in West Bromwich this morning.

"Craig Simmonds, aged 35, from West Bromwich, has been charged with possession of class B drugs.

"He is set to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court next month.

"This comes after we acted on community intelligence and executed a warrant at an address on Kesteven Road this morning.

"A quantity of cannabis was recovered.
