Wolverhampton man appears in court over Taser and drugs allegations

A man has appeared in court for allegations that he had a Taser and cannabis in his possession in Wolverhampton.

Leon Carter, 28, appeared before magistrates following an incident in Bentley Bridge on February 22.

Wolverhampton Magistrates Court heard allegations of possession with intent to supply cannabis and cocaine. Carter is also accused of obstructing a constable in execution of their duty, possessing a firearm without a certificate, and possessing an offensive weapon.

The case has been sent to Wolverhampton Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on March 24. 

An application for bail was denied. Carter of Greenock Crescent in Parkfields in Wolverhampton was remanded in custody.
