Boots have said that they are working to repair the heating and water systems in their Dudley Street store in Wolverhampton.
Staff members were left wearing coats and gloves over the December period.
An anonymous contact said that there had been issues with the store's water and heating systems since mid-December, with staff members being left with no alternative other than to wear extra-layers and thick gloves.
The chain has now said that temporary heaters have now been installed, and that preliminary work has begun to resolve the issue.

Talking about the issues, a member of staff, who wanted to remain anonymous, said: "We haven't had heating since about December I think.
"We have been left with just our coats and gloves. It's alright now, but just after December when we had all that frost, it was quite freezing in here.
"We do need it fixing, coming into a cold store where the staff don't look comfortable just isn't a good image."
The faulty boiler marks the second time the store has experienced issues that affect the staff members, with store workers being left without toilet facilities for more than four weeks due to 'drainage problems'.
A Boots spokesperson said: "We are aware of issues with the heating and hot water at our Wolverhampton Dudley Street store. Temporary heaters have been installed and to resolve the issue, we are replacing the store’s boiler.
"Preliminary work has already started and the work will be complete in the coming weeks. We thank our team members for bearing with us at this time."
