Compton Care has celebrated the opening of its new sustainable fashion store in Fallings Park in Wolverhampton.

Located on Raynor Parade, the store offers a range of preloved women's, men’s and children's clothing priced at £2.99 or less.

All funds raised through the shop will help support the local charity to provide accessible and compassionate care and support for local people living with a life limiting condition.

Annmarie Brown, manager at the new store, said: “We’re delighted to open this store and to welcome the people of Fallings Park through our doors to pick up a bargain while supporting a fantastic cause.

“If you have some time to spare, we are also looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join this exciting new team.

"We will provide full training and support for people wishing to become a volunteer, which offers a great opportunity to learn new skills, make friends and enhance your CV.

“We’re excited to be part of the Fallings Park community and to open our sustainable fashion store near to our Ruskin Road site.

"Our shoppers can grab themselves some preloved pieces at great value for money while supporting a charity that helps their local community, when they need us the most.”

The store is open from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.

Compton Care said that good quality donations are also welcome, and proceeds raised will contribute to the specialist palliative and end of life care the charity provides to people living with life limiting conditions and support for their loved ones.

The charity has also announced that the neighbouring Wednesfield store is also having a makeover, with the store closing on Thursday, March 6 with a grand reopening on Thursday, March 20, where shoppers will receive 10 per cent off their purchases on opening day.
