Van is seized from uninsured driver in Walsall and antisocial behaviour tackled

An uninsured van was seized in Walsall and antisocial behaviour at a retail park nipped in the bud by neighbourhood officers on patrol.

The action was taken by Walsall police while officers were on patrol in Bloxwich, Blakenall and Beechdale areas in the past week.

Incidents dealt with included seizing a van in Bloxwich because the driver had no insurance and reports of anti-social behaviour at Reedswood Retail Park off Reedswood Way near Beechdale. The teams also carried out litter picking. 

West Midlands Police stated: "Our Bloxwich team joined Street Watch volunteers on the Turnberry Estate and King George V Memorial Playing Field for patrols. They also enjoyed chatting with residents at Dudley Fields Community Centre and did their bit to litter pick and help keep the area looking its best.

"St Matthews’s town centre neighbourhood officers also carried out a Street Watch around Caldmore, attended a coffee morning at St Matthew’s Church and hosted a crime prevention advice surgery at HSBC in the town centre.

"Willenhall PCSOs went out on patrol with Walsall Council enforcement officers in the town centre.

"Members of our Brownhills neighbourhood team carried out patrols in Pelsall."

The force added that the Delves policing team visited Palfrey Park to speak to users about neighbourhood matters.
