Officers from the Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team were left wondering for several weeks who was chewing through jackets and nibbling boots at the team's headquarters in Doxey, near Stafford.

After a long investigation and search, the rodent culprit was caught on Thursday morning and after being "charged" with criminal damage and loitering, he was released into the nearby woodland.
