The video, posted by Charlie Humble on January 12, has amassed nearly 700k views with more than 53k likes.
In the video, Charlie, who posts street interviews under the social media handle chumbleyeh, asked Jason Allan what the worst UK accent is.

Jason, of Shrewsbury, said: “I mean, people say Birmingham, don’t they? I’m going to go further: Black Country.”
The singer, who did his best impression of the accent, specified Dudley before saying: “I live in the Midlands as well. They’re gonna come after me now.”
Many TikTok users agreed with Jason’s opinion in the comments, calling the accent “embarrassing”.
One viewer said: “Being from Dudley… he’s 100% right, it’s awful.”
Another commenter, also from the area, said: “This feels like a personal attack.”
But plenty of TikTok users jumped to defend the accent. One such viewer said: “The Black Country accent is elite!”
Last year, Jason, who has more than 1.3m followers on TikTok, was fined £6,486 by Telford Magistrates Court for the distribution of flyers and street trading without a licence in Shrewsbury town centre.
The case was brought by Shropshire Council’s licensing service and was heard in August 2024. Jason pleaded guilty to both offences.
