Gunman is put behind bars after stabbing and shots fired in street near Dudley
A man has been jailed after serious street disorder where a man was stabbed and shots fired near Dudley.

Usman Jamal, aged 25, of Quarry Bank, was identified as the shooter and knife attacker during a police investigation in the aftermath of the incident which happened at the junction of Springfield Avenue and Cross Walks in Lye, Dudley on May 5, 2022.
During the fracas a man sitting in a black vehicle at the scene suffered serious injuries when he was stabbed in the the leg. Shots were also fired and a car was damaged, but no-one was injured as a result of that.

Checks of CCTV footage shows a firearm being fired several times towards a group of people.
West Midlands Police said after that Jamal evaded arrest until his car was pulled over by firearms officers last August.
Jamal, of Maughan Street, was then was charged with wounding with intent, possession of a firearm and ammunition, two counts of possession of a bladed article and possession of cannabis and he subsequently pleaded guilty .
He has now been sentenced to eight years in prison for his actions that day.
Dc Sean Grove from the force's Major Crime Team said: “This was a disorder in broad daylight on a residential street in Dudley where a gun and knives were used for violence. A man was seriously injured as a result. Jamal, knowing he was a wanted man tried to avoid being arrested by police.
"However, we caught up with him and he has been brought to justice.”
He was arrested as part of Operation Target launched by the force to crackdown on serious and organised crime.
After a separate incident earlier this month, officers were called to reports of fighting shots being fired in Hydes Road, in Wednesbury.
