New café offers tastes of South Asian street food in centre of Wolverhampton

A café chain inspired by Indian street food and tea has opened a new store in Wolverhampton, bringing fresh flavours and new jobs to the city.

Chaiiwala has opened its newest store on Broad Street in Wolverhampton, marking a new milestone in its expansion journey. 

The chain said the new outlet, which opened last week, will bring the vibrant flavours of South Asian street food to the local community while creating 15 new jobs in the area.

Known for its signature dishes like Masala Chips, Bombay Sandwiches, and refreshing Desi beverages, Chaiiwala aims to revolutionise Britain’s café culture by blending authentic Indian street eats with a contemporary café experience.

Muhummed Ibrahim, chief executive officer at Chaiiwala, shared his enthusiasm for the new opening.

He said: “We’re thrilled to bring the Chaiiwala experience to Wolverhampton and introduce our bold, flavour-packed menu to a brand-new audience. 

"This opening highlights our commitment to making authentic Indian street food accessible to communities across the UK.

"We’re confident that the Wolverhampton store will become a hub for both existing fans and those discovering Chaiiwala for the first time.”

Since its founding in 2015 in Leicester, Chaiiwala has grown rapidly with120 stores globally and 100 stores in the UK. 

The chain also said it has ambitious plans to expand to 500 stores over the next decade, focusing on key markets such as the USA, Canada, and the Middle East.
