An Upper Gornal man is facing trial for blackmail, stalking, assault, criminal damage and sharing intimate pictures on social media.

Frazier Ward, 36, appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday (Monday) charged with seven counts concerning two Black Country women. 

Between October 2024 and January 2025 Ward is accused of controlling / coercive behaviour including monitoring his alleged victim's mobile phone use, dictating clothing she wore and who she associated with. Ward was also charged with assault causing actual bodily harm to the same woman on New Year's Day this year. 

Another charge Ward faces is sharing a photograph of the same woman on Whatsapp in an intimate state intending to cause alarm distress or humiliation, on January 4. Ward was charged with stalking the same woman by allegedly sending threatening messages, sending intimate videos to her mother, attended her home address banging windows and doors repeatedly between January 1 and 4.
