Love is in the air - and hard work is underway inside popular Bridgnorth flower shop for Valentine's Day

Kim Steffen, owner of The Petal Bar, on High Street, Bridgnorth, has revealed the stresses of owning one of the busiest flower shops in town on the most romantic day of the year.

For many people, Valentine's Day is a day of love, romance and togetherness, however, for a forgetful few (myself included) it's a day full of stress-buying last-minute flowers, teddy bears and chocolates. 

So, many might ask, what do our wonderful saviours, the brilliant owners of our local flower shops, get up to on the special day, and how busy are they really?

Well for Kim, it's an early morning full of designing flower arrangements, sending out special orders and selling on-the-day bouquets.

Kim, who has owned the flower shop for five years, from Bridgnorth, said: "We are fortunate to be very busy, our customers are really loyal so we do get a lot of pre-orders.

"We are still taking walk-in orders on the day so, yeah it's very very busy."
