Car seized and driver reported in south Staffordshire after being found with no insurance

A driver has been reported and a car seized after officers out on patrol found the car to have no insurance in south Staffordshire.

The red Ford was pulled over in Coven by officers from South Staffordshire Police on Thursday, with subsequent checks finding the car had no insurance.

It was seized by officers under Section 165A of The Road Traffic Act 1988 and the driver reported.

A spokesman for South Staffordshire Police said: "South Staffs Neighbourhood Policing Team 1 and Shift 2 response, have today seized a vehicle in Coven under Section 165A of The Road Traffic Act 1988 due to the car not having any insurance. 

"The person will be dealt with accordingly for these matters."
