Buses diverted in Walsall following temporary traffic light failure

Bus services along a major Walsall road were diverted following the failure of temporary traffic lights.

Three bus services in Walsall was forced to divert from their regular route of travel following the failure of temporary traffic lights along the route. 

The failure of the lights was alerted by bus operators National Express West Midlands, with the services 36, 41 and the 529 being diverted both ways. 

The services were instead forced follow Green Lane and Blue Lane West. 

On X, National Express West Midlands said: "Temporary have failed on Wolverhampton Street, Walsall.

"Until these are repaired 36, 41 and 529 will divert in both directions via Green Lane and Blue Lane. 

"West Apologies for any inconvenience caused."

The traffic lights have since been repaired, with National Express West Midlands saying that all services are now following their regular route of travel.

On X, the group updated: "The temporary traffic lights ahve been repaired. 

"36, 41 and 529 are operating on their normal line of route."
