Boy, 14, assaulted and robbed by group 'carrying knife' in Great Barr park

West Midlands Police are asking for information about an incident where a 14-year-old boy was robbed of a pair of shoes and assaulted.
The 14-year-old was approached by a group on a field off of Turnberry Road, Great Barr, at around 4pm on February 5, where he was assaulted and had a pair of shoes taken.
West Midlands Police say that they believe that one of the attackers had a knife, however, it wasn't used in the incident.
"A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We're investigating following a robbery in the park off Turnberry Road, Great Barr.
"A 14-year-old boy was approached by a group at around 4pm on Wednesday (5 February).
"The boy was assaulted and clothing was taken. It's understood one of the attackers had a knife with them, although it wasn’t used.
"We know how worrying this would have been for the boy and we're carrying out active enquiries to identify who was involved."
