Walsall residents have called on council members to 'do more' to cease the level of fly-tipping in the area.

The call for action comes after the region experiences repeated incidents of fly-tipping, with many people saying their roads and fields are 'covered' in illegally tipped rubbish.

Retired council worker, Linda Taylor, from Mill Lane, Walsall, said: "It's horrendous, it really is. The council do charge to take things away, people can't afford to pay these days, so it ends up on the street.

"Near to where I live the council did put cameras up, but they can't get them. They should bring the price down for removing goods or make it so you can remove more, it would dissuade them from tipping it.
