Motorway delays after rush hour crash involving four vehicles on M5 near West Bromwich
Motorists were warned of delays after a four-vehicle crash on the M5 near West Bromwich.

One person was assessed by ambulance crews following the collision which took place on the southbound carriageway this morning (Tuesday, February 11).
It has resulted in delays between the link with the M6 (Junction 8) and the M5's Junction 1, for West Bromwich.

West Midlands Roads, which forms part of the Transport for West Midlands Group, alerted drivers to the crash at about 8.20am.
Writing to X, formerly Twitter, it said: "M5 southbound - M6 link Arms to J1 (West Bromwich). Road traffic collision, all lanes are currently blocked. Congestion and delays on the M6 South and North Consider other routes."
National Highways West Midlands provided an update at about 8.30am to say traffic was now moving.
Writing to X, formerly Twitter, it said: "Traffic was stopped on the M5 southbound between M6 and J1 West Bromwich due to a collision.
"Vehicles have been moved onto the hard shoulder and traffic is released. There are six miles of congestion back onto the M6 southbound heading towards J10A (M54) due to this incident."
A spokeswoman for the West Midlands Ambulance service confirmed crews were called by police to reports of a four-vehicle collision on the M5 before Junction 1 at 7.42am.
A statement read: "We sent an ambulance to the scene where, on arrival, crews found one patient who they assessed, however the patient did not wish to be conveyed to hospital. There were no other patients.”
