Floral tributes laid next to a Netherton canal following death of man
Flowers have been laid by the side of a canal in Netherton where a man died after being found in the water.

Fire crews, police and ambulance staff were called to the scene off Cradley Road, near Primrose Bridge, known locally as Astle Bridge, at around 9am on Friday (February 7).
A man found in the canal was pulled from the water but was pronounced dead by ambulance crews.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "An ambulance, two paramedic officers, the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team, a Medical Emergency Response Intervention Team trauma doctor and critical care paramedic were sent to the scene.
"On arrival, a man was pulled from the water but sadly, it quickly became clear he could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene."
Now, a colourful bouquet of flowers has been laid on the canal path near to where the man died.

Police say death 'not suspicious'
In a statement on Friday, West Midlands Police said the death was not believed to be suspicious.

A force spokeswoman said: "We were called after a man's body was found in a canal off Cradley Road, Netherton earlier this morning (Friday).
"We are carrying out enquiries around the circumstances but at this stage it’s not believed to be suspicious."
