Boy, 12, found with 'significant head injury' at Kidderminster junction taken to hospital

A 12-year-old boy was found hurt in Kidderminster and taken to hospital with a "significant head injury".

The boy was discovered on the junction of Wilton Avenue and Franche Road between 6:30pm and 7pm on Sunday (February 9).

He was taken to Worcester Royal Hospital with a significant head injury, a West Mercia Police spokesperson said.

The boy's bike was meanwhile found in a hedge.

West Mercia Police has now appealed for those who saw what happened to come forward.

A spokesperson added: "It’s not known how the boy suffered his injuries and officers are carrying out enquiries to establish the exact circumstances. 

"Officers are appealing to anyone who may witnessed what happened or for anybody who has dash cam footage that may have captured the incident."
