The front seat passenger tried to run from the vehicle but was detained by officers.

Phones, cash and 77 wraps of drugs were recovered.

Officers at Wednesfield & Heath Town Police spotted a suspicious car while on patrol and checks found it was stolen and bearing false number plates.

They also have a member of the public to thank for reporting an abandoned Range Rover which was also checked and found to have been stolen a day before. It's now been returned to its rightful owner.

Some of the team also got out to Coppice Performing Arts School in Wednesfield to speak to students about joining West Midlands Police in the many and varied roles that are on offer for their future careers.

Tettenhall, Penn & Merry Hill Police and Bilston & East Park Police have been out on early frosty morning patrols, advising drivers not to leave their cars unattended as they run them to warm up and defrost, as that invalidates the insurance.

PCSOs from the team visited residents at Grosvenor Park, Wolverhampton  to give crime prevention advice. They also carried out early morning parking patrols after being told of concerns about drivers parking on zig-zags near a school, causing a danger for children.

At Bilston & East Park,  officers on patrol arrested a man who was wanted and gave a parking ticket to another blocking the pavement with his vehicle.

The team also seized four vehicles after receiving complaints from members of the public about them causing an obstruction.
