Three fire crews are still on the scene this morning (Sunday) at Hayes Lane, Lye.
They are damping down and making the area safe, with power being restored to the nearby homes affected.
Emergency services rushed to the scene just before 6pm yesterday (Saturday).
A total of 54 firefighters responded to the incident with 13 fire engines.
Residents were warned to close windows and doors as a precaution.
The fire is thought to have started at a fishing tackle shop and adjacent tyre business.
Last night, a spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: " Upon arrival, our crews discovered a fire which involved a number of business premises on Hayes Lane.
"Their swift and assertive tactics have brought this substantial fire under control and prevented the fire from spreading to further neighbouring properties."
This morning (Sunday), West Midlands Fire Service confirmed three crews were still on site as part of a damping down operation to make the area safe.
A spokesman added: "Investigations into the cause are now underway."
Hayes Lane remains closed to motorists between the main A458 Stourbridge to Halesowen road and Stour Vale Road.
West Midlands Police, who are facilitating road closures, confirm that are being lifted as soon as safe to do so, however intermittent closures may continue throughout the day to allow fire crews to work safely.
National Grid says it has now restored power to all properties affected by the incident.
