105 metres of a Black Country road leading into Halesowen is closed for four days for essential gas works

Drivers heading into Oldbury are being warned that a section of road is set to be closed in one direction due to essential gas works.

Cadent Gas has closed a 105 metre section of the northbound Halesowen Street leading into the town centre until Tuesday due to the essential works.

It means that a diversion is in place following the A457 and A4034, before turning onto Church Street, with the closure set to be in place until 11.59pm on Tuesday.

A spokesman for West Midlands Roads said: "Cadent is carrying out essential roadworks in the area on Halesowen Street in Oldbury.

"There will be a road closure northbound until February 11 

"Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey."
