The Glassworks pub officially reopened on February 6 after undergoing a three week, £290,000 refurbishment by Marston's which has revitalised the pub on Audnam Road.

The work has given it a new look both externally and internally, with a newly created bar-area and a dedicated family lounge among the new additions to the pub, as well as an updated frontage.

General manager John Griffiths said the pub looked like a completely different place and spoke about some of the changes made.

He said: "It feels like a totally different place to what it was, as it used to be one big, open room pub which went back to the Generous George days and which had been like that for about 12 years.
