Walsall man used knife from Sikh temple to stab woman, a court heard
A Walsall man attacked a woman with a knife taken from a Sikh temple when she answered the door to him, a court heard.
Gurwinder Singh is appearing at Wolverhampton Crown Court on seven charges including attempted murder, wounding with intent and rape.
The prosecution allege he stabbed the victim, who can't be named, at the home they formerly shared in Walsall.
On the first day of the case Richard Baker, prosecuting, said of Singh, aged 36: "He was very controlling."
Adding: "He was given a restraining order to not approach the home."
