Rail disruption between Mid Wales and Birmingham International cleared
A major rail route was closed due to issues between Aberystwyth and Birmingham International.

National Rail Enquiries said that the incident, near Welshpool, meant that there was disruption for trains travelling between Aberystwyth and Birmingham International - through Mid Wales and Shropshire.
It was initially hoped the issues would be resolved by 12.15pm - but that was later extended to 3.30pm.
An update on the National Rail Enquiries website said: "A fault with the barriers at a level crossing in the Welshpool area means that all lines are blocked.
"As a result, trains running between Machynlleth and Shrewsbury may be cancelled or revised."
The route reopened at around 3pm.
