'I'm truly sorry' - Gardener caught driving under influence of cannabis has lost his job

A landscape gardener who was caught driving under the influence of cannabis has lost his job, a court heard.

Steven Pitchford, aged 33, drove a Peugeot 207 on the Halesfield industrial estate in Telford on October 20 last year.

Telford Magistrates Court was told that officers pulled him over at around 8.30pm as his car was showing up as uninsured.

They smelled cannabis on his breath so carried out a roadside drugs swipe which came back positive.
