Delays for rail passengers after train breaks down on line between Crewe and Stafford
Rail passengers were left facing an afternoon of delays on the West Coast mainline after a train broke down between Crewe and Stafford.

London Northwestern Railway put out a warning to passengers to let them know about the breakdown, which happened around 2.30pm.
The rail provider said that it meant some lines were blocked and services between the two stations could be cancelled or delayed, with disruption expected to last until 4.30pm.
A spokesman for London Northwestern Railway said: "Due to a broken down train between Crewe and Stafford, some lines are blocked.
"Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed.
"Disruption is expected to last until around 4.30pm today (February 5).
"Please use the Live Departures & Arrivals or National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to see your journey options."
