Enville Cricket Club members are gearing up for the new season by attempting to conquer the three-peaks, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, in just 24 hours.
The intrepid team is taking on the epic trek to raise money for the youth section at the club, to fund equipment, training facilities and coaches.
Club spokesperson Tom Jackson said: “Enville Cricket Club prides itself on its great history and proud heritage.
“We are particularly proud of our youth cricket section, which dates back to 1971.
“Many of the players who represent the club today at senior level have at some point represented the club at youth level.”
Members of the historic club, which is based at Hall Drive, Enville, and dates back more than 200 years, have been training since before Christmas for the attempt, which will see them covering 23 miles and ascending a total of 3,064 metres in just one day.
Club captain Sam Tonks, who will be among the club members taking on the challenge, said: “It is going to be tough going, apart from the physical effort we have been working hard on the logistics to make sure we can get from one mountain to the next in good time.
“Training has been hard going, especially in the recent cold weather when it has taken a real effort to find the motivation to get out and do the hard yards.“
"The youth section really is so important for the club’s future so we are all determined to raise as much as we can to ensure our junior players get the best start on their cricket journey.”
The challenge will take place on Saturday April 5 anyone wishing to support the event by sponsoring the walkers should contact the club onecc.fundraising1821@gmail.com .
