Watch: Drone video lays bare damage and disruption caused by landslip on Severn Valley Railway line

The Severn Valley Railway (SVR) has released aerial footage of the damage caused by a huge landslip to its heritage line.

Last Wednesday, SVR staff discovered that a large landslip had occurred, leaving the line impassable. It has affected a 30-metre section of embankment in Shropshire, between the SVR’s northernmost station, Bridgnorth, and the smaller station at Hampton Loade.

The landslide on the Severn Valley Railway, near to the Astbury Gold Course and Bridgnorth. Half of the edging stones on a bridge have gone as well as the land.
