A man has been charged with a string of shop thefts after hundreds of pounds worth of items were stolen from Halesowen supermarkets.

Wayne Brittain, aged 39 and from Cradley, has been charged with six shop thefts in January and February.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Monday (February 3).
It comes after hundreds of pounds of items were stolen from two supermarkets in Halesowen, West Midlands Police said.
A police spokesperson added: "Like most areas of the country, we have seen an increase in shop theft over the last year but we are committed to identifying persistent offenders and arresting them.
"Over the last year, we have arrested 743 (39 per cent) more people in connection with shop theft and we have solved more than 3,379 offences (126 per cent) compared to last year."
