A new Lidl store has finally opened, marking the first day of shopping for hundreds of bargain-hungry Walsall residents. 

The new superstore, on Walsall Road, Walsall Wood, was developed on the land formally owned by the Horse and Jockey and marks the first Lidl store to open in the Walsall Wood area.

The ribbon-cutting event, held on January 30, was attended by the Lord Mayor of Walsall, Anthony Harris, as well as dozens of shoppers in the area, all eager to get an early bargain.
