Plumbits Stafford has revealed the initiative in partnership with AEDdonate and the team hope their campaign will enhance safety by providing essential tools for responding to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).

Each year, 30,000 individuals in the UK tragically lose their lives to out-of-hospital SCA, including 620 young people under 35 and 270 occurrences in schools.

Immediate defibrillation within the first three minutes can increase survival chances by over 80 per cent.

Andy Wheeler, owner of Plumbits Stafford, said: "I want people to have access to a defibrillator.

"It will hopefully save someone's life. With so much footfall outside our business, it makes sense to have a defibrillator there for people to have access to 24/7 should the need arise."

Plumbits Stafford, well-known across Stafford and the Midlands for serving both retail and trade customers, is reaching out to the community for support
