Murder suspect arrested in Staffordshire after woman dies
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman found in a critical condition at an address near Stafford died.

Police were called by ambulance crews to Devereux Gardens in Great Haywood just before 5.10pm on Wednesday (January 29).
A woman, who was found inside the property, was taken to hospital but later died.
A 50-year-old man, from the Rugeley area, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and controlling/coercive behaviour, a Staffordshire Police spokesman said.
A second man, aged 24 and from the Stafford area, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug.
Both suspects remained in police custody on Thursday afternoon.
A police spokesman added: "Investigating officers are examining CCTV and carrying out house-to-house enquiries, so there will be a heightened police presence in the area over the next few days.
"The incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) following previous police contact."
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed crews were called to a medical emergency at a private address in Devereux Gardens at 5pm.
The spokeswoman said: "Three ambulances attended the scene. Upon arrival we found a woman in a critical condition.
"Ambulance staff administered advanced life support to her which continued en route to hospital where she was conveyed under emergency blue light conditions for further treatment.”
