Watch: Artists in Walsall learn to paint like a master

The creative session by Birmingham based artist Rob Conway ran for three hours, with participants taking part in a step-by-step workshop to create a painted canvas inspired by Monet's wintery scene 'The Magpie'. 

Rob is an  illustrator, artist-educator and member of the land art collective 'Landmark, ' he devises and delivers a variety of fun and colourful workshops using a range of skills for all ages and abilities.

He also works at The New Art Gallery Walsall delivering the education programme to schools and groups in the gallery and also within the education departments at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

A spokesman for the Walsall Leather Museum said the session had proved extremely popular and lots of fun for beginners, and more experienced artists alike and further classes would be held.
