Vehicles banned from the M6 in Stafford for being too heavy
A police operation by the road crime team in Staffordshire saw several vehicles taken off the M6

Vehicles including a Renault van and a lorry were checked by members of Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team at a check site at Doxey on the M6 in Stafford on Monday.
The checks saw a number of vehicles prohibited from heading back onto the motorway after being found to have excessive weight, while several vehicles were also found to have defects or insecure loads.
The force confirmed that drivers had been reported and the vehicles immobilised until they were put into a safe condition.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team said: "This morning we have completed a check site at Doxey on the M6.
"A number of vehicles have been prohibited for excess weight, various vehicle defect along with insecure loads.
"All drivers reported and vehicles immobilised until in a safe condition."
