‘Joeys, Joshers and James: A Canal Miscellany’ is the intriguing title of a talk to be given by Phil Clayton at Albrighton & District Historical Society on Monday, February 3.
The talk will focus on the lives of the families who lived and worked on the narrow boats and travelled the canal system of Great Britain.
Phil Clayton is a published author on the subject of the local canal network and former chairman of the Birmingham Navigation Trust.
He is also often called up by local media to offer insights into the history of the canals.
The talk will be on Monday February 3 starting at 7.30 in the Red House, High Street, Albrighton. All are welcome - entry is £3 on the door, or join for the year for just £12.
