People at the Old Bush Inn, Bradley Lane either donated prizes themselves or got their employers or friends to, with the proceeds going to the Shifnal based charity, which relies entirely on donations for its funding.

They presented a cheque on Saturday (January 25) to Kay Starkey, the community fundraising manager.

Steve Flavell, who is a customer at the pub helped organise the raffle and said the Midlands Air Ambulance was a popular choice to be this year's beneficiary.

He said: "This is a fairly small pub but quite a close-knit group of customers, some of whom own businesses and donated prizes.

"The landlord here raffled off a meal for two and my employer in Telford a meat hamper, with many other people contributing.

"We are delighted with the outcome and that we are able to help a charity which many of us feel should get some outside funding."
