The former Darlington Street Methodist Church in Wolverhampton had been named as one of the country's top 10 most at-risk buildings by Historic England in 2020 after closing for services in 2019.

However, after undergoing an extensive renovation and refurbishment by Kam and Rajinder Dhinsa and becoming the Grand Palace Banqueting Suite, the building on the corner of School Street and Darlington Street has been removed from the At-Risk Register.

The news of the removal from the list was greeted with relief by Rajinder Dhinsa, who said that it had been a lot of work to get to that stage.
