Emergency incident in Wolverhampton city centre diverts buses

The number three National Express service to Fordhouses has been halted on Market Street in Wolverhampton due to an emergency incident.

An ambulance and police car were spotted on Market Street at around 3.30pm on Monday near a single-decker bus which had its hazard lights on. 

Services three and four have been diverted via Bilston Street and Pipers Row due to Queen Street being blocked by emergency service vehicles.

A post on X by National Express West Midlands read: "Service Disruption Due to an ambulance blocking Queen Street #Wolverhampton 3 and 4 outbound are diverted via Bilston Street and Pipers Row Apologies for any inconvenience caused."
