Wolverhampton road to get new zebra crossing near school
A new zebra crossing could be put on a Wolverhampton road near to a primary school.

Wolverhampton Council has announced that it intends to install the crossing on Proud's Lane, Bilston.
The crossing, which will be placed near Villiers Primary School, will help to improve pedestrian safety in the vicinity of the school.
The council said: "Notice is hearby given that Wolverhampton City Council pursuant to its powers under Section 23 of the RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intends to installa controlled (Zebra) crossing on Proud’s Lane, Bilston.
"The crossing will help to increase pedestrian safety by the provision of a controlled crossing place for pedestrians to cross Proud’s Lane in the vicinity of Villiers Primar School."
A copy of the Statement of the Reason showing the part of the road affected can be viewed in the main reception of the Civic Centre building, St Peter's Square, Wolverhampton.
Any objections to the proposed zebra crossing should be made in writing to David Pattison, Chief Operating Officer and Solicitor to the Council Civic Centre, St Peter’s Square, Wolverhampton WV1 1RG, by February 11, 2025, stating the grounds for objections.
