A Bilston pub praised as a true one-off has been named as one of the top 100 pubs across Europe by a pub and beer guide.

The Trumpet on Bilston High Street been ranked 23rd in a top 100 list produced by the European Bar Guide, which has featured bars from as far away as North Macedonia and Finland on the list.
The Trumpet showed 9.5 out 10 on the European Beer Guide rating and finished higher on the list of British pubs than pubs in Liverpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh and London, with only the Holly Bush Inn in Belper in Derbyshire finishing higher.
In the description of the Trumpet, the European Beer Guide said the pub was close to being one of the finest pubs in England and spoke about what people could see as they walked in.
