From Dagenham to Wolverhampton - Shropshire theatre group take over factory shop floor

A Shropshire theatre company took over a Wolverhampton factory floor this week to promote their new show.

Wolverhampton company Aldridge Trimmings opened its doors to Bridgnorth Musical Theatre Company on Wednesday.

The theatre group were looking for a backdrop to promote their new show - Made in Dagenham - and show director Laura Davies discovered the ideal location through her work.

Laura, who is the Managing Director of Marshall Harmony, a recruitment firm specialising in the manufacturing and engineering industries, discovered one of her clients made car interiors - just like the women in the hit musical and film.

“It’s not often that my day job overlaps with my passion for theatre,” Laura said. 

“But this time, the synergy was undeniable.”
