Breweries have been a part of the region for centuries, providing the welcoming aroma of hops and yeast in the air across the region and many different types of beer loved by thousands.
In the wake of the news of the planned closure of Banks's Brewery in Wolverhampton, the Express & Star wants to support our local breweries and show that there are still many out there producing quality beers to be enjoyed in pubs across the region.

Making beer is something which a lot of people take up as a hobby, brewing small kits at home to make several litres of beer and learning about the intricate details of what works and what doesn't in the process.
Some people take it a step further and take what was a hobby and make it a passion and a living by brewing beer on a large scale and selling it in great volume.
Karol Kawecki is one of those people, with New Invention Brewery becoming a popular place for beer and more than 1,200 pints per week being produced from the brewery in Bloxwich.
