Driver set to face court after being found in Brierley Hill with cloned car and expired provisional licence

A driver is set to face court after being found by police in a cloned car with no insurance and an expired provisional licence.

The Ford Focus was stopped by officers in Brierley Hill after checks found it to have been cloned, with the driver detained while a search was conducted.

Further checks found the driver to have an expired provisional licence and no insurance, so the car was seized and the driver was reported to court for the offences.

A spokesman for Brierley Hill Police said: "On patrol, we saw this cloned vehicle.

"We stopped the driver and detained him for a search. 

"Checks showed he had an expired provisional licence with no insurance. 

"We have seized the car under the road traffic act and reported him to court for the offences."
