West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner offers thoughts and support to family of stabbed 12-year-old Leo Ross
The West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner has spoken of his condolences to the family of Leo Ross and reaffirming his belief that tackling knife crime is a top priority.

Simon Foster issued a statement on the PCC website following the news of the death of 12-year-old Leo Ross.
Leo was found near Scribers Lane in Hall Green with a stab wound to his stomach on Tuesday and was taken to hospital, but was pronounced dead at around 7.30pm.
Mr Foster said his thoughts were with both Leo and his family and spoke of his commitment to preventing and tackling knife crime, as well as asking for anyone with any information about the incident to contact West Midlands Police as soon as possible.
He said: “My thoughts are with the victim and his family.
"It is important that they receive all the help and support they need at this time.
“Preventing and tackling violence and knife crime is a top priority.
"That is because of the catastrophic and devastating consequences for victims, their families, friends and local communities.
“I understand that West Midlands Police acted immediately and made an arrest.
"It is essential that whoever was responsible for this brutal and abhorrent crime is brought to justice at the earliest possible opportunity.
“I would urge anyone who has any information relevant to this case to submit it to West Midlands Police either via the Major Incident Public Portal or report that information via 101 or Live Chat, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
