Body of woman found at Stourbridge property

Emergency services have confirmed the death of a Stourbridge woman after a body was found at a private property.

Emergency services were called to an address on Bridgnorth Road in Wollaston at around 7.10pm on Sunday to concerns of a woman's welfare. 

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent three ambulances and a Community First Responder to the scene where they found the body of a woman.

She was sadly confirmed dead a short time later. 

Police say the woman's death is not being treated as suspicious and her next of kin have been informed. 

A file is being prepared for the coroner.

A WMAS spokesperson said: "We were called to an incident at a private address in Wollaston at around 7.10pm. We sent three ambulances and a Community First Responder to the scene where, on arrival crews found a patient. 

"Sadly, it quickly became apparent that they could not be saved and the patient was confirmed dead at the scene."

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "The body of a woman was found after emergency services attended an address in Bridgnorth Road, Stourbridge yesterday evening (Sunday) after concerns for a woman’s welfare were raised.

"Her death is not being treated as suspicious and next of kin have been informed. A file is being prepared for the coroner."
