Ambulances spotted outside Wolverhampton shopping centre as woman carried out on stretcher

A number of ambulances were spotted outside a Wolverhampton shopping centre this morning following an incident.

West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to reports of a medical emergency the Mander Centre at around 10.52am on Wednesday. 

Two ambulances were seen parked on Bell Street, near the shopping centre car park.

A female patient was seen being carried from the shopping centre to the ambulance on a stretcher. 

The patient, who looked to be in her forties, was breathing into an oxygen mask and seemed to still be conscious. 

She was conveyed to New Cross Hospital for further treatment. 

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a medical emergency at the Mander Centre, Wolverhampton at 10.52am, two ambulances attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who following treatment was taken to New Cross Hospital."
