The John Bloxham Memorial Rally was held for the second year at Apley on November 30 last year with funds raised divided between Wolverhampton-based Compton Care and Prostate Cancer UK.

The race remembers the well-known driver who won the much-coveted triple crown of RAC British Rally Championship, Motoring News Rally Championship and BTRDA Gold Star Rally Championship in 1969, and serves as the final round of the HRCR (Historic Rally Car Register) Clubman's rally championship.

John died of prostate cancer in 2021, aged 78.

The event is organised by his son Nick - who himself is a regular rally competitor - in memory of his father.

The memorial rally included six regularity sections, nine special tests and one tough TC (timed) section.

The route was approximately 200 miles long and began in Bridgnorth where at the starting line was John's well-known Fiat 131 rally car.
