Environmental Health offices are appealing for drivers to check their dashcam footage after the waste measuring two metres in length and 15 metres high was dumped overnight on Sunday on Watery Lane.
It caused the road to be closed to through traffic all day on Monday and inconvenienced motorists and business owners in the area who had to shut
A clean up operation was launched at 7am this morning (Tuesday) when contractors arrived on site and the waste was transferred throughout the morning from the lane into a container. A road-sweeping vehicle also cleared the road surface of any remnants of waste.
Lichfield District Council has now launched an investigation into the incident and want to identify two HGV tipper trucks that are suspected of taking part.

"Our environmental health officers are appealing to drivers to check their dashcam footage.
"At both those times officers want to identify two HGV tipper trucks that reversed off Wood End Lane and down Watery Lane before dumping the waste and then driving back onto Wood End Lane.
