Woman raped in Perry Barr - Birmingham police step up patrols
West Midlands Police are investigating the rape of a woman and an assault on another woman in Perry Barr, Birmingham, in the early hours of this morning.

West Midlands Police sealed off parts of Walsall Road forcing buses to be rerouted and closing the bus station at One Stop Shopping Centre in Perry Barr, Birmingham.
Officers received a reports of a rape of a woman and of an assault after another woman sustained facial injuries on Aldridge Road at 1.50am.
Detectives do not know whether the two incidents are linked. However, they are putting extra patrols on the streets.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We understand the concern and worry that this will cause the local community. You will see more officers in the area today and into this evening to provide reassurance and if you have any concerns please come and talk to us.
